In my opinion, I see that our society is a game of communication, people who can communicate well can win the game, and the who cant will lose the game, that's why we can say that our mouth is one of some kind factor that what make us good or not in life.
The bible has a lot of guidance for us, one of them is a communication guidance, the bible guide us when to use and when to stop our mouth in society, here are some guidance from Bible that you can pick up to keep your mouth shut when you have situation :
1. In the heat of anger - Proverbs 14 : 17
2. when you don't have all of the facts - Proverbs 18 : 13
3. When you haven't verified the story - Dueteronomy 17 : 6
4. If your words will offend a weaker brother - 1 Corinthians 8 : 11
5. If your words will be a poor reflection of the Lord or of your friends and family. Peter 2 : 22 - 23
6. When you tempted to joke about sin - Proverbs 14 : 9
7. When you would be ashamed of your word later - Proverbs 8 : 8
